Los Angeles police located two people at a hospital and took assault-with-a-deadly-weapon reports following reports of stabbings near the Taste of Soul festival in South Los Angeles on Saturday.
Officers initially received calls about a stabbing near Crenshaw and Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards around 2:45 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service.
At least one person was reported stabbed during an apparent group fight, but those involved had left the scene before responding officers could locate them, Miller said.
In a subsequent update Saturday night, LAPD Media Relations said officers had located two people at a hospital, interviewed them and taken reports involving assaults by cutting.
The victims’ conditions were not immediately available, and the circumstances of the violence remained under investigation.
